Sophie Keatinge

Sophie joins Cox Inall having previously worked for three years in public affairs and stakeholder engagement at Australia’s peak farm body, the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), in Canberra.

She started her working life with a consulting firm before briefly working at the Attorney General’s Department in Canberra.

Coming from a farming background in southern NSW, Sophie is a passionate advocate for the issues affecting rural and regional Australia.

Through her work at NFF, Sophie has a strong understanding of farm advocacy and the policy development process, and played a lead role in delivering notable industry-wide advocacy campaigns, including the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (2015) and the Backpacker Tax (2016).

Sophie led NFF’s engagement programs, which aimed to raise awareness of and build support for the role of modern farming in Australia.

Her experience includes facilitating digital transformation: helping to revolutionise the way organisations communicate and connect with their stakeholders in the 21st century. Sophie played an instrumental role in developing Australian Farmers – a new online home for Australian agriculture – which launched in July 2016.
