Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme - without the emissions

When the Federal Government released its White Paper on the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, it wanted regional Australia fully briefed on the proposal. But in doing this, the Government was mindful of minimising its carbon emissions.

To meet this requirement, Cox Inall proposed a single briefing from Sydney that was broadcast around Australia via Sky TV. This would save time, money and reduce significantly the carbon that would have been emitted from holding 37 face-to-face briefings around the country.

The challenge for Cox Inall was within six weeks to locate venues that carried Sky TV, deal with myriad technical complexities, arrange for each place to have a phone available so attendees could ask questions and then promote the event in the 37 communities.

The result: the two-hour presentation, undertaken by DCC deputy secretary Blair Comley, went to air on schedule and attracted more than 700 attendees and nearly 40 questions.
