Rachel has extensive experience leading campaigns linking primary producers with the latest research and development information.
She is also an experienced journalist, science communicator and publications manager with a strong track record in campaign branding and management.
Rachel was instrumental in the launch of the innovative Over The Fence grower video and written profiles and the HoRiZon high rainfall zone communications program for the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC). She has led the 2006-12 GRDC northern communicator program.
Through her work for the then Queensland Department of Primary Industries she established the CropLink – Information You Can Trust information quality assurance and production system, as well as editing, designing and managing key cropping publications.
Rachel works with leading agribusiness clients to establish strong brands, communicate effectively on a two-way basis with their clients, research client needs and manage public relations and communications activities.
She has led and worked on campaigns for GRDC, the Meat and Livestock Corporation (MLA), the Australian Hereford Society (AHS), Resource Consulting Services (RCS), Elders Limited and Landcare Australia.
Rachel holds a Masters degree in Professional Communication from the University of Southern Queensland and a Bachelor of Arts (Rural Journalism) from Curtin University of Technology, WA.
