Corporate & Consumer
Penny Rose has pursued a diverse international public relations career, bringing to Cox Inall Communications almost 10 years’ marketing and public relations experience in agencies and in-house in Australia and in the UK.
Penny’s most recent successes have been on the agency side, in consumer campaigns for brands such as Davenport Underwear, Universal Pictures, charity White Ribbon, The Lighting Council’s international SPARC Lighting Event and Viridian glass.
In leading these campaigns, Penny developed and executing layered strategies that incorporated events, media relations and social media that have cut through the chaos and received significant attention.
While in England, Penny’s solidified her expertise in crisis management, working within the international media frenzy for the McCann family, who had quite famously lost their child Madeleine in controversial circumstances.
During this time Penny also represented consumer brands in the fashion, charity and publishing sectors with brands such as L’Oreal and Frank Usher, as well managing and promoting UK television talent including celebrity hairstylist Richard Ward, Princess Kate’s hairdresser.
Penny’s career began in-house based in Darwin and Canberra, working in the government sector for Centrelink and the Department of Human Services. Highlights include managing the Indigenous Ambassadors Program, with well known Indigenous Australians including the late Artie Beetson, Kyle Vander Kype and Michael O’Loughlin. Penny also worked to promote the Department of Human Services’ ‘Welfare to Work’ policy among Centrelink customer groups nationally.
Penny values academia, tutoring part-time at University of NSW, and brings to her role an Australian National University Masters in Business (Marketing and PR) and a University of Queensland Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Banking) and Bachelor of Arts (English and Economics).
