Ellen McNamara joined Cox Inall Communications in August 2011 as a member of the Agribusiness and Natural Resources team. She has worked in the communications industry for over ten years, both as a journalist, broadcaster and media advisor.
Ellen has extensive skills and understanding of managing media from both sides of the industry, including social media, agricultural policy and stakeholder engagement, coupled with a passion for rural and remote Australia.
Ellen has a broad understanding and corporate knowledge of the issues of Australian agriculture and natural resource management from her role as the media advisor to the NSW Farmers’ Association. In this role she was responsible for developing and implementing media and communications strategies, and worked with diverse groups including industry, government and media.
Prior to this, Ellen worked for many years as journalist and radio producer for ABC, in various roles across local radio, Radio National and Radio news, Ellen has worked on Breakfast with Adam Spencer, Nightlife with Tony Delroy and the Religion Report with Stephen Crittendon in Sydney, and in local radio stations including Nowra, Wollongong, Orange, Dubbo and Wagga Wagga presenting news and content to rural, urban and national audiences.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications – Broadcast Journalism) from Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
