The NRSC is an independent group of opinion leaders made up of road safety experts and community leaders appointed by the Australian Transport Council in 2009.
We developed a Communications Strategy for the NRSC in 2010 to drive community discussion and to raise potential road safety initiatives to help Australia move closer to its road safety targets.
This required analysis of the NRSC’s key issues and direct engagement with stakeholder groups concerned with youth, speed, alcohol, fleets, motorcycles and indigenous audiences.
We maximised prominent NRSC ambassadors Melissa Doyle from Channel 7’s Sunrise, 3AW’s Neil Mitchell, Lindsay Fox from Linfox, and profiled members via media outreach.
In 2011 we re-launched the website to position the NRSC on its six key issues of priority.
