In 2011 Cox Inall Communications prepared a communications strategy to run over 2011-2012 aimed at encouraging best practice by growers in the area of on-farm grain storage in the northern and southern regions.
The communication strategy around grain storage aims to both build on the information already in existence (by updating and localising content) and fill some of the information gaps that exist as more and more farmers store grain on farm to increase marketing opportunities.
The focus of the campaign is the development and distribution of timely and practical tools for growers, as well as building awareness of those tools.
Cox Inall is working closely with the experts involved in the GRDC-funded grain storage extension project, Philip Burrill and Peter Botta, and held discussions with both of them in the planning and implementation of the strategy.
All media materials have been distributed nationally and due to a carefully worked out calendar to ensure timeliness, have enjoyed good pick up in the west, as well as the north and the south.
The six key priority issues being focused on include:
The above activities have also formed the base content for activities including:
A brand has also been developed to accompany all media materials.
